TL;DR
Biology & Bioinformatics Expert (AI): Designing and evaluating bioinformatics workflows and analyzing genomic and biological datasets for an AI training project with an accent on genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and reproducible scientific analysis. Focus on optimizing pipelines, benchmarking and validating AI models, and developing documented workflows using Python/R, NGS tools, and statistical methods.

Location: Remote – Worldwide

Salary: $50–$100 per hour

What you will do

  • Design and evaluate bioinformatics workflows for biological data analysis.
  • Analyze genomic and biological datasets, including NGS and variant data.
  • Optimize computational pipelines and statistical methods.
  • Support AI model benchmarking and validation for biology-related applications.
  • Develop reproducible workflows and document scientific findings.
  • Provide scientific insights and actionable recommendations.

Requirements

  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or a related field, or equivalent industry or research experience.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing biological data.
  • Strong Python and/or R programming and analytical skills.
  • Experience with genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, NGS, RNA-seq, and variant analysis.
  • Experience with BLAST, Samtools, GATK, Biopython, Nextflow, Snakemake, and Linux.
  • Professional English proficiency at C1 level or higher.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI/ML-assisted biology, structural biology, or drug discovery.
