Enterprise Trust & Governance Engineer (Backend)

Location: United States, United Kingdom, or Canada; offices in San Francisco, London, New York City, Seattle, and Toronto.

Salary: $220,000–$405,000 annually for U.S.-based positions; international salaries are set according to the local market. Equity is offered.

What you will do

• Own enterprise identity and provisioning with SSO, SAML, OIDC, SCIM, WorkOS, Okta, and Microsoft Entra ID integrations.
• Build a fine-grained permissions platform for connectors, tool actions, models, and agent workflows.
• Design and ship secure admin APIs for audit logs, members, groups, roles, and settings.
• Develop policy controls for model availability, staged rollouts, usage and spend limits, alerts, and cost-center allocation.
• Build administrator analytics, audit logs, and change notifications for adoption, usage, spend, compliance, and policy enforcement.
• Partner with Product, Design, Security, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver reusable platform capabilities and intuitive administration experiences.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience owning complex backend systems from design through production operation.
• Strong system design skills and experience building reliable, scalable, multi-tenant SaaS platforms with clear security and isolation boundaries.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust, plus hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Deep expertise in enterprise identity and provisioning, permissions and policy enforcement, encryption and customer-managed keys, or enterprise administration platforms and analytics.
• Experience integrating enterprise identity and access systems such as WorkOS, Okta, or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Technical judgment in security-sensitive systems and experience leading ambiguous, cross-team initiatives through architecture and adoption.
