Technology Product Manager (Media): Developing and enhancing internal newsroom platforms that support content creation, collaboration, and digital publishing with an accent on editorial workflows, mobile collaboration, and user-centered product design. Focus on translating complex newsroom processes into intuitive solutions, defining testable requirements, and coordinating cross-functional delivery through Agile practices.
Location: Tysons Corner, VA, United States; hybrid arrangement with three days onsite per week

is hiring for a technology product role supporting the modernization of newsroom operations.
What you will do
- Lead the development and enhancement of internal platforms used by journalists, editors, and producers.
- Translate editorial and newsroom workflows into intuitive product solutions for content creation, collaboration, and publishing.
- Partner with editorial leadership, newsroom teams, and engineering professionals to define product priorities.
- Manage backlogs, write user stories and acceptance criteria, and support delivery through Scrum or Kanban.
- Improve digital publishing and mobile collaboration tools across multiple channels.
- Track product outcomes, user engagement, and feature adoption to guide decisions.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience owning customer-facing or internal platforms in Product Management or Product Ownership.
- Experience with content management systems, digital publishing platforms, or media asset management tools; mobile or CMS experience is highly preferred.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and ability to communicate technical needs to engineering teams.
- Experience writing well-defined, testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum or Kanban, and backlog management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to work onsite three days per week in Tysons Corner, VA.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of newsroom operations, editorial workflows, or media technology.
- Experience with analytics platforms such as Amplitude.
- Familiarity with enterprise integrations, API concepts, governance, and compliance standards.
- Experience with Confluence, Figma, Lucidchart, or Microsoft Suite.
- Background in media, journalism, newsroom operations, or editorial workflows.
