Intermediate Software Developer (AI)

Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada — hybrid from the Ottawa office

Salary: $85,000–$105,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and ship full-stack features and fixes across backend services, APIs, and user interfaces.
• Use AI-assisted development tools while carefully reviewing and testing generated results.
• Break down ambiguous problems, make technical decisions, and escalate issues when needed.
• Write clean, documented, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Improve architecture, tooling, and developer workflows.
• Triage customer and team issues and support releases after deployment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Full-stack product development experience with solid backend skills and the ability to build frontend features.
• Ability to learn new programming languages and frameworks quickly.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants in daily development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and automated testing.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, ownership, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and with containers.
• Experience with highly available, distributed, or messaging systems.
