Staff Enterprise Security Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; California is listed as the primary location.

Base salary: $155,800–$214,300, $165,600–$227,700, $175,400–$241,100, or $194,800–$267,850 per year, depending on pay zone.

What you will do

• Establish an Enterprise Security engagement model with the Data team for corporate production development on the Databricks platform.
• Review implementation designs, configurations, data flows, integrations, authentication, authorization, logging, and security controls.
• Assess enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, third-party connections, modern access patterns, and AI-adjacent workflows.
• Define practical security requirements, provide hardening guidance, track remediation, and improve security outcomes across the development lifecycle.
• Build production security automation, monitoring, posture checks, review workflows, and tooling.
• Develop automation and agent capabilities, including SSPM-style controls and Security AI Personas.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering, enterprise security, application security, cloud security, or a related field.
• Experience conducting security design or architecture reviews for applications, SaaS platforms, integrations, or internally developed systems.
• Hands-on familiarity with Databricks or comparable data and AI platforms, including governance, service principals, and data access patterns.
• Strong knowledge of authentication, authorization, SSO, federation, SCIM, API security, token handling, secrets management, and least privilege.
• Experience building security automation with Python, SQL, Terraform, or similar technologies.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical risk into clear requirements and actionable guidance.
