Sanctions Officer (Fintech)

Location: Bulgaria; hybrid work possibilities are available.

What you will do

• Ensure compliance with Lithuanian and international sanctions requirements, including OFAC, EU, and UN frameworks.
• Create and maintain sanctions-related policies, procedures, and risk controls.
• Assess sanctions risks and investigate high-risk clients for potential breaches.
• Collaborate with authorities, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Bank of Lithuania, and prepare required reports.
• Organize employee training and provide sanctions guidance to the AML team and other departments.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience with international sanctions, AML/CTF procedures, or related compliance work.
• Strong knowledge of international sanctions and AML/CTF regulations and practices.
• Ability to analyze complex data, identify risk factors, and detect potential violations.
• Experience with sanctions screening and risk management tools, plus a basic understanding of related IT solutions.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• University degree in Law, Finance, or Business Administration.

Nice to have

• ACAMS, ICA, or another relevant professional certification.
• Familiarity with ChatGPT and other AI tools, with the ability to integrate them into daily work.
