TL;DR
Mobile QA Engineer (iOS/Android): Testing mobile applications and new product features with an accent on functional, regression, UI/UX, cross-platform, and release testing. Focus on analyzing requirements, isolating issues through logs and crash reports, validating bug fixes, and supporting App Store and Google Play submissions.

What you will do

  • Test mobile applications and new features on iOS and Android.
  • Analyze requirements and prepare mobile-specific test documentation, cases, checklists, and scenarios.
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, UI/UX, and cross-platform testing.
  • Analyze logs and crash reports using tools such as Firebase Crashlytics and Sentry to isolate defects.
  • Reproduce, document, and verify bugs while collaborating with mobile developers, analysts, and product managers.
  • Support release planning, risk assessment, and App Store and Google Play delivery.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in mobile quality assurance for iOS and Android.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing principles, mobile testing methodologies, and Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Google Material Design.
  • Experience with Xcode, Android Studio, ADB, Charles Proxy, emulators, simulators, and physical devices.
  • Ability to identify ambiguities and risks before development starts, with a systematic and user-centric approach.
  • Understanding of mobile release cycles, TestFlight, Google Play Console, and Firebase App Distribution.
  • Experience with localization testing, traffic analysis, mobile automation concepts, feature flags, and A/B testing.

Nice to have

  • Basic knowledge of Appium, XCUITest, or UIAutomator2.
  • Familiarity with LaunchDarkly or Firebase Remote Config.
  • Experience with Fiddler or similar traffic manipulation tools.
