TL;DR
Digital Procurement Data Scientist (data science/procurement): Transforming procurement data into predictive models, dashboards, and automation tools that improve costs, risk management, demand forecasting, supplier performance, and operational efficiency with an accent on analytics, visualization, and data governance. Focus on designing decision-support tools, integrating data across five regions, automating workflows, and translating complex insights for senior stakeholders.

Location: Cyberjaya, Malaysia; hybrid work with at least two days per week in the office

What you will do

  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement outcomes through data analytics, predictive modeling, and automation.
  • Develop dashboards and reports in Tableau or Power BI for data-driven decision-making across five regions.
  • Automate processes, reports, and workflows using Excel, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
  • Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for senior leaders and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams on data integration, governance, troubleshooting, and user training.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Degree or equivalent practical experience in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, information technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in data analysis, visualization, dashboard development, and process automation.
  • Proficiency in Tableau or Power BI and Excel, with working knowledge of Power Automate, Power Apps, or Oracle OBIEE.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, including engagement with senior leaders.
  • Experience in data governance, data management, or data warehousing.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Python.
