AFC Operations Intern (Fintech)

hirify.global provides an Investment API that enables fintechs and financial institutions to offer investment products and retirement-planning services.

What you will do

• Execute first-line-of-defense anti-financial-crime processes and manage operational casework.
• Conduct PEP and sanctions screening, investigate hits, and document true-match or false-positive decisions.
• Perform KYB checks for corporate onboarding, KYC sample checks, and transaction monitoring.
• Manage follow-ups with clients and maintain AFC procedures and controls in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Use and improve automation and reporting tools, including AI assistants, n8n, Google Sheets, Apps Script, Looker, and SQL.
• Collaborate with AFC Operations and the AML second line of defense to improve systems, tools, and workflows.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of KYC and AML concepts through studies, an internship, customer support, banking operations, or similar experience.
• Strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and interest in compliance and financial-crime prevention.
• Ability to manage high-volume, repeatable operational tasks while maintaining consistent quality.
• Curiosity about automation and ability to learn new tools, systems, and data quickly.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, reliable working style.
• Good English communication skills required. A completed Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not essential.
