Senior Software Engineer, Offerwall (Golang/Java)

Location: San Francisco, CA, USA

Base salary: $146,500–$190,400 in Zone A; $130,400–$169,500 in Zone B; $115,400–$149,900 in Zone C.

What you will do

• Design and build product features while refactoring and optimizing existing systems.
• Build and maintain resilient backend services processing tens of billions of events per hour.
• Own a key domain within a large system and develop deep technical expertise.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Collaborate with product managers and related teams to deliver user-facing results.
• Use AI-assisted tools for coding, testing, debugging, and documentation, and explore AI approaches for distributed-system reliability.

Requirements

• Hands-on backend development experience with Golang or Java.
• Experience developing and maintaining distributed web services at scale.
• Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka or other message queues.
• Experience producing and analyzing web-service event audit trails.
• Ability to use AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality, security, and reliability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and effective collaboration with teammates.

Nice to have

• Experience in ad tech, fintech, or Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with SQL and data platforms such as BigQuery and BigTable.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
