Director of DevSecOps

Location: Remote within the United States, excluding its territories. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US and able to obtain and maintain a favorable Public Trust clearance determination. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $165,000–$195,000 per year

What you will do

• Build, lead, and grow the DevSecOps practice, including recruiting, staffing, mentoring, performance management, and career development.
• Define DevSecOps strategy, technical standards, reusable patterns, and governance across programs and new pursuits.
• Guide secure, scalable, cloud-native platforms covering CI/CD, infrastructure as code, container orchestration, identity and access, and observability.
• Lead legacy-to-cloud modernization, platform hardening, automation, and AI integration.
• Support federal business development through solutioning, proposal content, staffing plans, client discussions, and oral presentations.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients and senior leadership on architecture, delivery risks, staffing, and technical trade-offs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in DevSecOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, SRE, or technical architecture, including federal or highly regulated environments.
• At least 5 years of direct people management experience and at least 3 years working with federal government contracts and clients.
• Deep experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern DevOps practices including infrastructure as code, CI/CD, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with secure delivery, compliance-driven environments, end-to-end cloud architecture, and federal proposals.
• Legal US work authorization and the ability to obtain and maintain a favorable Public Trust clearance determination are required.

Nice to have

• Cloud certifications or enterprise architecture credentials.
• Experience with Databricks and reusable platform patterns.
• DevSecOps or cloud community participation and recent thought leadership.
• Master’s degree, Agile/Scrum experience, or familiarity with the Atlassian suite.
• Practice leadership or people management experience in government contracting.
