Infrastructure Engineer (Kubernetes/Cloud)

What you will do

• Deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters across multiple cloud providers and edge locations.
• Build and maintain networking for edge infrastructure, including VPNs, routing, network policies, and firewalls.
• Automate cluster provisioning, configuration, upgrades, and recovery with Terraform/OpenTofu and Ansible.
• Build secure runtime environments for customer workloads using containers, microVMs, and ephemeral sandboxes.
• Improve cluster reliability, observability, capacity, Prometheus metrics, and alerting.
• Participate in on-call support and troubleshoot Linux, container, Kubernetes, networking, and cloud infrastructure issues.

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience in production, including cluster operations and troubleshooting.
• Strong Linux and container fundamentals.
• Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, NAT, and routing.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and automation using Terraform/OpenTofu and Ansible.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and cloud networking, compute, and storage.
• Ability to assess attack surfaces, tenant isolation, and the secure execution of untrusted workloads.

Nice to have

• Experience operating Kubernetes across multiple cloud providers or regions, including CNI implementations such as Calico.
• Experience with Firecracker, Kata Containers, containerd, cgroups, namespaces, or seccomp.
• Experience with Knative, ephemeral compute, sandboxing, CI runners, build systems, or platforms executing user-provided code.
• Experience with BGP, WireGuard, software-defined networking, Rancher/RKE2, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Go or Python experience for infrastructure tooling and automation.
