Director, Low Carbon Innovation & Strategy

Location: Billund, Denmark. Hybrid working allows up to two days per week from home; the role is tied to the specified office workplace.

What you will do

• Establish and drive the low-carbon innovation and evaluation pipeline.
• Identify, prioritise, and mature credible and measurable decarbonisation opportunities.
• Oversee a portfolio of initiatives from idea and evaluation through hand-off for delivery.
• Prepare concise, data-driven materials for C-suite and Board-level decisions.
• Build alignment across Operations, Product, Procurement, Finance, Commercial, and Communications.
• Commission, interpret, and challenge carbon analysis, scenarios, and abatement economics.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in climate strategy, decarbonisation, sustainability, or low-carbon innovation, preferably in-house within a large international company.
• Background in science, economics, engineering, physical geography, or a similar discipline.
• Experience establishing and running innovation and evaluation pipelines using commercial, technical, and sustainability criteria.
• Proven ability to engage senior executives, including C-suite and Board-level audiences, with clear and compelling materials.
• Experience driving change in a complex corporate environment and aligning stakeholders across competing priorities.
• Strong numeracy skills and experience interpreting and challenging climate analysis, including GHG footprinting or lifecycle assessment.
