Software Engineer Senior - International Delivery Team (Payments)

Location: Nicosia, Cyprus; hybrid model with part of the work from home and part from the office

Salary: EUR 34,000–45,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions for the PRIME payments platform.
• Lead and support large-scale client implementations, including solution integration, deployment, and customer onboarding.
• Collaborate with international banking clients and internal stakeholders on business and technology transformation initiatives.
• Integrate external systems, payment networks, digital channels, and third-party solutions.
• Support data migration from legacy platforms and participate in certification activities.
• Promote software quality, automation, continuous improvement, compliance, and modernization through cloud-native technologies, microservices, DevOps, and AI-assisted development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, payments, banking technology, or a related field.
• Strong software development experience with Java or C++ and object-oriented design principles.
• Experience with Spring Boot, relational databases, SQL, and REST APIs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams and customer representatives in a delivery-focused environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, or containerized architectures.
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, Git, and Jenkins.
• Experience with React, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, or Oracle PL/SQL.
• Payments industry experience, including card issuing, acquiring, payment networks, tokenization, digital wallets, Visa, Mastercard, or real-time payments.
