Engineer III - LogScale Search (Hybrid, Denmark)

Location: Hybrid in Aarhus, Denmark, with 2–3 days per week on-site at the Aarhus office

What you will do

• Develop new LogScale Search features and improve existing backend functionality.
• Build Scala-based capabilities for increasing event-ingestion and query workloads while maintaining high availability.
• Design and deliver solutions to open-ended engineering problems.
• Monitor released features in production, troubleshoot critical customer issues, and support operational excellence.
• Collaborate through code reviews, pairing, design reviews, technical talks, documentation, and cross-team solution development.

Requirements

• Experience in software development and making pragmatic tradeoffs between short-term delivery and long-term product goals.
• Interest in distributed systems and experience operating services spanning multiple components and geographic regions.
• Fluency in functional and object-oriented programming, with the ability to learn new languages quickly.
• Experience contributing to broad technical leadership and communicating technical concepts clearly to engineers and management.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
• Ability to work on-site in the Aarhus office 2–3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Scala, commercial clouds such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and Kafka.
• Experience with large-scale distributed architecture, high scalability and availability, and optimization.
• Exposure to Log Management or cybersecurity products.
