TL;DR
Business Intelligence (BI) Intern (Power BI/Data Analysis): Building and maintaining dashboards and reports while preparing, analyzing, and visualizing datasets with an accent on Power BI development, Excel-based data transformation, and DAX. Focus on supporting automation with PowerShell and Python, integrating APIs, and improving reporting data processes.

Location: Hybrid, with 1–2 days on site at the DXC office in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. Working hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

What you will do

  • Assist in building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Support basic data modelling, DAX calculations, data visualization, and reporting.
  • Extract, cleanse, transform, and validate data using Excel, Power Query, and Pivot Tables.
  • Support simple automation tasks using PowerShell and scripts.
  • Use Python or other programming languages for data analysis, automation, and API integrations.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of Power BI Desktop.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and formulas.
  • Basic knowledge of DAX or data modelling.
  • Exposure to PowerShell, automation tools, Python, datasets, dashboards, or school projects.
  • Interest in data analysis, reporting, and visualization, with attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Malaysian citizenship and final-year student status are required.
