Manager, Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite. Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain a U.S. export license under ITAR/EAR requirements.

Salary: $175,000–$205,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop the EGSE engineering team while setting technical direction and engineering standards.
• Design and develop electrical ground systems supporting spacecraft integration, testing, and launch operations.
• Establish standardized, modular hardware architectures and reusable components to improve reliability and development efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership for electrical interfaces, communication systems, power distribution, grounding, shielding, and hardware integration.
• Oversee fabrication, integration, verification, deployment, documentation, and technical issue resolution.
• Coordinate with Avionics, Integration, Test, Launch Operations, COMSEC, engineers, technicians, and operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience designing, developing, and integrating EGSE, avionics hardware, or complex electrical systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of power supplies, power distribution, circuit protection, grounding, shielding, signal integrity, and electrical communication interfaces.
• Experience with differential signaling, termination, impedance matching, Ethernet, RS-422, CAN, hardware integration, instrumentation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• U.S. Person status or eligibility to obtain a U.S. export license is required.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of experience in aerospace electrical engineering, EGSE, or avionics integration.
• Experience with modular electrical hardware platforms, data acquisition, and instrumentation such as NI PXI or cDAQ.
• Experience designing rack-level systems, harnesses, and enclosures for avionics or RF applications.
• Experience with NX, Python, MATLAB, test automation, controls software, spacecraft integration, propulsion testing, or launch campaigns.
