Staff Financial Analyst (Payroll Product & HCM)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay: $154,000–$208,500 per year, with potential eligibility for cash bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Advise QuickBooks Workforce Solutions leadership on one- and three-year strategic planning.
• Identify business growth opportunities, risks, and optimal investment decisions through data-driven analysis.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, and Analytics teams to develop and monitor key performance indicators.
• Build financial models for pricing, promotions, sales channels, and product development scenarios.
• Prepare month-end reporting packages, variance explanations, and performance analysis.
• Improve, standardize, and automate financial processes and reporting.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
• 6–8 years of FP&A experience or equivalent experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or analytics.
• At least 4 years of financial forecasting or analytical modeling experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and financial modeling skills.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, influence stakeholders, and execute projects with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Finance.
• Experience with Hyperion Essbase.
• Experience in a Human Capital Management business.
• Experience in high-growth software or SaaS environments.
