Security Compliance Manager

Location: Australia-based, with the primary office in hirify.global HQ, North Sydney; Sydney or Melbourne options are mentioned. Travel across Australia and, as required, other APJ locations is expected.

What you will do

• Act as the primary Security Officer for the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) and manage related governance, reporting, and sponsorship obligations.
• Interpret and implement Australian Government security frameworks, including PSPF, DSPF, SOCI, and HCF.
• Lead security threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments across hirify.global sites and drive remediation and continuous improvement.
• Establish security governance, risk, and compliance frameworks for government-facing and regulated operations.
• Conduct audits, assurance activities, certifications, inspections, and penetration testing programs.
• Develop security policies, standards, procedures, training materials, and awareness programs while advising stakeholders and mentoring security teams.

Requirements

• Current NV1 security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain NV1 clearance.
• Experience in protective security, government risk, compliance, or assurance within Australian government or regulated environments.
• Experience acting as, or the capability to act as, a DISP Security Officer.
• Strong knowledge of PSPF, DSPF, and HCF, with experience supporting government certification, assurance, or regulated compliance frameworks.
• Experience developing security policies, governance documentation, training, awareness initiatives, and learning packages.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, integrity, discretion, professional judgement, and ability to work autonomously.
