Senior Systems And Infrastructure Engineer, Information Security (Active Directory)

Location: United States — Bentonville, Arkansas or Herndon, Virginia

Annual salary: $90,000–$180,000 in Bentonville or $108,000–$216,000 in Herndon, plus potential performance bonuses and stock compensation.

What you will do

• Support, secure, modernize, and operate hirify.global’s enterprise Active Directory forests and LDAP services.
• Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions aligned with business and security requirements.
• Develop system security plans and conduct risk and compliance reviews.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and maintenance using scripting and configuration management tools.
• Perform backups, patch management, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and resource optimization.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and collaborate on requirements, architecture, and modular system design.

Requirements

• Experience engineering, securing, or supporting enterprise Microsoft Active Directory environments.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell, Python, or a comparable programming language for scripting, automation, or software development.
• Experience with Git or another source-control platform, including code review, testing, documentation, and release management.
• Knowledge of authentication protocols, security controls, compliance requirements, and infrastructure operations.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 5 years of experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or a related area.
• Experience with capacity management, performance optimization, infrastructure maintenance, and physical or virtualized environments.

Nice to have

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, GSEC, GCIH, GCED, GCIA, Security+, or Windows/Linux certifications.
• Experience with additional scripting or programming languages such as Perl, Bash, Ruby, PHP, C, C++, C#, .NET, or VBScript.
• Experience designing and leading technology projects, production support, and troubleshooting security infrastructure.
