Equipment Engineer (Injection Molding)

Location: 600 Darling Dr, Vernon Hills, Illinois, United States. Onsite work in an office and clean manufacturing environment with required PPE and cleanroom apparel.

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Define requirements for injection molding machines, peripherals, material handling systems, utilities, and mold-press interfaces.
• Write equipment and operational specifications, coordinate supplier contracts, analyze proposals, and track delivery, quality, safety, budgets, and expenditures.
• Organize equipment unloading, installation, movement between cleanrooms, and coordination among project stakeholders.
• Develop operational and preventive maintenance work instructions and train maintenance and operations users.
• Monitor emerging technologies, optimize existing equipment, and propose technical solutions for continuous improvement.
• Support maintenance, lean initiatives, project reviews, quotations, and factory acceptance tests at injection molding vendors.

Requirements

• Engineering or technical degree, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in injection molding manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 40 lbs, push and pull items, stand or walk throughout the shift, and climb ladders.
• Clear and well-organized oral and written communication.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• 3D modeling experience with SolidWorks.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
