Senior SMT Manufacturing Engineer

Salary: $75,000–$245,000 base salary per year

What you will do

• Influence SMT and mixed-technology assembly from concept through production.
• Develop reflow profiles and engineer SMT stencils, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
• Use CAD programs to create product concepts and support design modifications.
• Program and optimize factory automation equipment and oversee manufacturing standards.
• Test products for usability and safety, analyze quantitative results, and improve programs.
• Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in product engineering or a related field, including 5+ years in electronics manufacturing.
• Deep SMT expertise with advanced reflow, tooling design, and factory automation programming experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant field.
• Ability to solve complex problems, develop requirements, and adapt to changing priorities with limited direction.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and balance competing tasks.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance is required; Secret Clearance is preferred.
