iOS Engineer

Location: Spain (Remote); candidates must be able to accommodate UAE working hours. A flexible and hybrid working environment is also offered.

What you will do

• Own consumer-facing features from concept through production in a high-traffic, multi-country application, collaborating with Product, Design, and Backend.
• Architect and develop native Swift and SwiftUI interfaces using MVVM, Adapters, Factory DI, and modern concurrency.
• Maintain a modular codebase with Swift Package Manager, shared frameworks, and OpenAPI connectors.
• Build internationalised experiences with full right-to-left Arabic support and per-country feature flag configurations.
• Monitor and improve production app health, including crash-free rates, startup performance, memory leaks, and telemetry.
• Implement automated testing, participate in release engineering through Bitrise, fastlane, and TestFlight, and contribute to PR reviews and pair programming.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional iOS engineering experience, including at least one flagship app published and maintained on the App Store.
• Deep expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit, including view lifecycles, re-rendering mechanisms, and framework interoperability.
• Strong knowledge of modern Swift concurrency, including async/await and Actors, plus ARC memory management.
• Strong knowledge of clean architecture patterns, including MVVM, dependency injection, and SOLID.
• Hands-on experience integrating RESTful APIs, implementing automated unit and end-to-end tests, and using Xcode performance debugging tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with modular application architecture using SPM, Tuist, or XcodeGen, and CI/CD tools such as Bitrise and fastlane.
• Familiarity with geospatial or mapping SDKs, remote configuration, and production monitoring tools such as Firebase or Sentry.
• Experience using modern AI coding assistants and prototyping workflows.
• Experience supporting internationalisation, including native right-to-left layouts.
