TL;DR
Firmware Developer (BLE): Developing embedded firmware for Nordic Semiconductor-based wireless products and smart lighting systems with an accent on BLE, mesh networking, device security, and system-level communication. What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for wireless products based on Nordic Semiconductor SoCs.
- Build BLE, Bluetooth Mesh, and other wireless communication capabilities using Nordic SDKs, nRF Connect SDK, and Zephyr-based solutions.
- Develop communication protocols connecting embedded devices with mobile applications, gateways, and cloud services.
- Contribute to architecture, design reviews, code reviews, testing, debugging, diagnostics, device provisioning, security, and OTA firmware updates.
- Investigate complex issues across hardware, firmware, wireless communication, and system integrations.
- Collaborate with hardware, mobile, cloud, backend, QA, and product teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional embedded software or firmware development experience.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills and experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.
- Experience with Nordic Semiconductor development platforms and SDKs.
- Solid understanding of Bluetooth Low Energy, wireless communication principles, RTOS concepts, embedded software architecture, and device interoperability.
- Experience debugging embedded systems with modern development and testing tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and continuous-learning skills, including experience with AI-assisted development tools.
Nice to have
- Experience with nRF Connect SDK, Zephyr RTOS, Nordic SoftDevice architectures, or Bluetooth Mesh networking.
- Experience with secure boot, device security, firmware updates, Linux-based embedded systems, or gateway devices.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, firmware release processes, RF technologies, and wireless performance optimization.
- Experience bringing connected products from concept to mass production and customer deployment.
