Corporate Governance Research Analyst - French Markets

What you will do

• Analyze corporate governance, financial, and extra-financial data for companies listed on the French market.
• Prepare detailed research reports based on the ISS voting policy.
• Provide clients with voting recommendations on shareholders’ meeting agenda items.
• Engage with issuers and internal and external stakeholders regarding shareholders’ general meetings and proxy reports.
• Contribute to research papers and the development of corporate governance policies.
• Build expertise in French-market corporate governance, investment, and shareholders’ rights and expectations.

Requirements

• Good understanding of finance, capital markets, and corporate governance, ideally with initial corporate governance experience.
• Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or Political Sciences.
• Fluent French and English, at C1 level or above, with the ability to understand technical governance and legal documents in both languages.
• Strong written and oral communication, research, computer literacy, and independent working skills.
• Ability to collaborate, take initiative, contribute to governance debates, and accept constructive criticism.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and tight deadlines during the proxy season, especially in April and May.

• Proficiency with AI tools and prompt engineering for research workflows.
• SQL skills.
