Senior Embedded Software Engineer (EV Charging)

What you will do

• Develop and evolve embedded applications for the hirify.global Go or hirify.global Pro charger platforms.
• Write bare-metal C for microcontrollers handling timing-sensitive charger functions.
• Advance Yocto-based Linux development, including device trees, drivers, and network interfaces.
• Design communication between chargers and Azure services as new device features are introduced.
• Investigate complex issues across device software, hardware, cloud services, and chargers operating in the field.
• Review code and designs, make architectural trade-offs, and support the growth of other engineers.

Requirements

• Strong experience developing embedded software in C or C++.
• Experience building software that interacts closely with hardware.
• Experience with communication protocols and peripheral integration.
• Ability to independently investigate and solve complex system-level problems.
• Experience contributing to technical design, architecture, or important engineering decisions.
• Familiarity with Bluetooth Low Energy, sockets, HTTP, MQTT, Linux, Yocto, FreeRTOS, or cloud-connected devices.
