Embedded Software Engineer (EV Chargers)

hirify.global develops internet-connected EV chargers combining hardware, embedded software, cloud communication, and customer-facing applications.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain embedded applications for the hirify.global Go and hirify.global Pro charger platforms.
• Write bare-metal C for microcontrollers handling timing-sensitive charging tasks.
• Contribute to Linux/Yocto development, including device trees, drivers, and network interfaces.
• Build communication between chargers and Azure services as new device features are introduced.
• Monitor devices in the field, investigate issues, and deliver fixes through over-the-air updates.
• Collaborate with embedded software, hardware, cloud, app, and production teams to deliver complete solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Cybernetics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience writing C or C++, gained through professional work, university projects, internships, or personal projects.
• Understanding of, or strong interest in, the interaction between software and hardware.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks, investigate technical problems, ask questions, and collaborate across disciplines.
• Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, Linux, FreeRTOS, communication protocols, or cloud-connected devices is useful but not required.
