Member of Technical Staff (AI)

Location: On-site in the United States or Canada, including Toronto, Montreal, New York, California, and Washington State locations.

Salary: Canada — CA$295,000–CA$535,000 base salary in Toronto (GTA) and Montreal; USA — $175,000–$325,000 base salary in most states, or $205,000–$380,000 in New York, California, and Washington State. Equity is offered.

What you will do

• Build and maintain data pipelines for supervised fine-tuning, preference, and reinforcement learning data.
• Own dataset quality, versioning, consistency, and reproducibility.
• Turn research data recipes into production-grade, reusable components.
• Scale model inference for synthetic data generation and model-based grading.
• Design efficient data formats and schemas for post-training datasets.
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and annotation teams to support rapid model iteration.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering skills.
• Experience designing and building large-scale machine learning data pipelines, ideally for LLM post-training.
• Experience running distributed data processing and model inference at scale.
• Understanding of post-training methods such as SFT, RLHF, and DPO.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work on-site in the United States or Canada.
