VIE (d/f/m): Environmental Control Systems (ECS) - System Data Analytics & Modelling

Location: Hamburg, Germany; mobile working is possible after agreement with the department.

hirify.global develops and produces civil aircraft and related aerospace systems, including environmental control systems for passenger aircraft.

What you will do

• Gather and analyze operational data from aircraft environmental control systems to identify trends and anomalies.
• Develop dashboards and reports that visualize system status for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Refine system models by comparing theoretical simulations with real-world flight data.
• Develop Python scripts to automate recurring data-processing and analysis workflows.
• Support root cause analysis of technical fleet anomalies and contribute to system reliability improvements.
• Benchmark different aircraft platforms, document findings, and present results to the team.

Requirements

• University degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a similar field.
• Background in thermodynamics and aircraft systems.
• Good knowledge of data analytics, visualization methods, and tools.
• Required programming skills in Python.
• Fluent English.
• VIE eligibility: aged 18–28 and a citizen of the European Union, Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein; registration is required before the 28th birthday.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Dymola or Modelica simulation software.
