IT Lead (AI)

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada; hybrid with 3 days per week in the Vancouver office

Base salary: CA$100,000–CA$130,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Own the network across the Vancouver, San Diego, and Dublin offices using Cisco Meraki.
• Evaluate and modernize remote-access and network-access architecture, including VPN and zero-trust solutions.
• Provide technical direction, troubleshooting support, and mentorship to the IT team and senior systems administrators.
• Drive the SSO integration roadmap and improve identity, endpoint-management, and application access workflows.
• Improve IT service operations through queue ownership, SLAs, escalation paths, reporting, runbooks, change management, and HR-triggered provisioning automation.
• Integrate AI capabilities into business-critical IT systems and workflows while validating outputs for security, compliance, and actual system behavior.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–8 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or network administration, including at least 2 years in a senior technical role.
• Hands-on experience with multi-site enterprise networks, modern VPN or zero-trust network-access solutions, networking, identity, and endpoint management.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki, SSO and identity platforms using SAML or OIDC, endpoint management such as Intune or Jamf, and ITSM tools such as Jira Service Management.
• Experience improving documentation, change-management practices, service operations, and technical decision-making in ambiguous environments.
• AI fluency, including building AI-assisted workflows, directing AI tools on real tasks, and independently verifying their outputs.

Nice to have

• Cloud fundamentals across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• ITIL Foundation or an equivalent process certification.
• Experience with AI governance, acceptable-use policies, and AI cost monitoring.
• Experience with software procurement or vendor management.
