TL;DR
Sr. Associate Software Development Engineer in Test (AI): Testing backend features and large-scale distributed systems while building API automation, maintaining CI/CD test suites, and validating cloud migrations with an accent on search, data scale, and agentic evaluations. Focus on investigating failures, analyzing root causes, validating AWS and GCP migrations, and building semantic search pipeline evaluations.
Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid Flex Work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field
Base salary: €51,700–€77,500 per year, plus potential bonus and stock grants

What you will do
- Test backend features and application logic through functional testing and API validation.
- Write, maintain, and improve automated test scripts and suites for continuous release cycles.
- Validate tenant data, application behavior, and system performance during AWS and GCP data center-to-cloud migrations.
- Investigate automated test failures, perform initial root cause analysis, report defects, and verify fixes with developers.
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and quality discussions.
- Build and maintain agentic evaluations for semantic search pipelines.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in software testing or engineering, with a focus on functional testing and API automation, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of programming experience in an object-oriented or functional language such as Java, Python, Scala, C#, or C++.
- Hands-on exposure to test automation tools or frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, Selenium, Postman, or Robot Framework.
- Basic experience or familiarity with CI/CD environments such as Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI, or TeamCity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Nice to have
- Experience testing deployments and migrations across public cloud environments, especially AWS or GCP.
- Experience with ElasticSearch, OpenSearch, Vespa, Quadrant, PGVector, or Pinecone.
- Interest in complex distributed systems and test engineering practices.
