Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Linux/Proxmox)

Location: Hybrid role based in Tbilisi, Georgia; Yerevan, Armenia; Turkistan Region, Kazakhstan; or Tashkent Region, Uzbekistan. Remote work is also available.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain Debian and Rocky Linux infrastructure, Proxmox VE clusters, and virtual machines.
• Manage the full virtual machine lifecycle, including provisioning, migration, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Plan and execute Linux, Proxmox, and production infrastructure maintenance and upgrades.
• Manage backup, restore, snapshot, and replication processes and validate disaster recovery procedures.
• Troubleshoot compute, storage, operating system, filesystem, and networking issues.
• Automate operational tasks with Ansible and scripting, and prepare change plans, validation steps, and rollback procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Linux infrastructure administration.
• Strong knowledge of Debian, Rocky Linux, systemd, package management, boot processes, filesystems, LVM, RAID, mounts, permissions, SSH, and sudo.
• Production experience with Proxmox VE, KVM/QEMU, Proxmox clusters, quorum, Corosync, and failure scenarios.
• Practical ZFS experience, including pools, datasets, snapshots, replication, disk replacement, and failure recovery.
• Experience with VM migration, Linux and Proxmox upgrades, backup and restore, and Proxmox Backup Server or similar solutions.
• Experience with Ansible, Bash, Git, and Linux networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, bonding, DNS, MTU, and firewalls.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ceph, SAN, iSCSI, NFS, or other shared and distributed storage systems.
• Python and monitoring experience with Zabbix, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, or Grafana.
• Experience with physical servers, data center hardware, hardware RAID, HBA, IPMI, iDRAC, or iLO.
• Participation in disaster recovery or infrastructure migration projects.
