TL;DR
Senior Java Developer (Java/Spring/Quarkus): Developing and maintaining a complex tax administration system for a European public-sector customer with an accent on full-cycle tax declaration processing, tax calculations, external integrations, and scalable microservices. Focus on implementing and testing Java components, troubleshooting integrations, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and supporting reliable delivery across a 20+ person project team.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain components for a complex tax administration system covering tax declarations, calculations, assessments, and integrations with external systems.
- Implement software according to design specifications and perform unit, integration, and system testing.
- Troubleshoot issues, participate in incident triage, and analyze and prioritize defects.
- Estimate project efforts and delivery timelines while collaborating with project stakeholders and distributed teams.
- Provide technical input into product roadmaps.
- Support and optimize CI/CD processes.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Java development.
- Strong experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database, REST/SOAP integrations, and messaging systems such as Kafka or ActiveMQ.
- Good understanding of testing principles.
- Confident English communication and strong collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams.

- Angular front-end development experience.
- German or Swiss German language skills.
