Medical Science Liaison (Oncology)

Location: Remote within the United States, with occasional travel to company offsites or key meetings. Candidates must already have authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 annually

What you will do

• Serve as a scientific liaison in client and partner discussions, translating clinical and operational requirements into actionable strategies.
• Lead discussions on data quality, validation, clinical data extraction, genomics, oncology treatments, and patient outcomes.
• Advise clients on interpreting, validating, and using real-world data, including data extracted with AI/ML and large language models.
• Guide the design and execution of client-led real-world evidence studies using the hirify.global platform.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to shape client-facing features and data offerings.
• Lead joint publications and thought leadership initiatives, and represent hirify.global at conferences and external forums.

Requirements

• PhD in a life sciences discipline.
• 4+ years of experience as an MSL in the oncology diagnostics industry.
• Experience with structured clinical data and real-world data analysis.
• Ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly to executives, clinical experts, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, project management, and organizational skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and comfortable working remotely.

Nice to have

• Experience with electronic medical records, Health Information Exchanges, and Qualified Health Information Networks.
• Knowledge of data quality, validation, provenance, limitations, and the healthcare data landscape.
• Experience with conversational AI agents.
• Familiarity with regulations governing real-world data and its use in healthcare.
