Senior Test and Validation Engineer (Aerospace)

hirify.global develops and operates full-size autonomous cargo aircraft designed to carry two tons of payload over more than a thousand nautical miles.

What you will do

• Own the system test roadmap across component, hardware-in-the-loop, ground, and flight testing.
• Architect and bring up hardware-in-the-loop benches with flight computers, actuators, sensors, and power hardware.
• Own software-in-the-loop, real-time simulation, model integration, and the validator framework.
• Design fault-injection, qualification, life-test, environmental, durability, and reliability campaigns.
• Develop telemetry health monitoring, anomaly detection, ground-based flight-load reproduction, and flight-data correlation.
• Lead root-cause investigations, flight-readiness and certification evidence reviews, and mentor test engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years testing complex electromechanical or embedded systems on aircraft, spacecraft, automotive, or comparable vehicles.
• Experience building a hardware-in-the-loop or system test capability from scratch and owning a test strategy through fielded operation or flight.
• Strong Python and C or C++ skills, along with electrical troubleshooting across embedded computers, actuation, power, and communications.
• Experience planning and running environmental, durability, or reliability test campaigns and leading test engineers or technicians.
• On-site work in Alameda, United States.

Nice to have

• Test experience with uncrewed or fly-by-wire aircraft.
• Experience with Speedgoat, dSPACE, NI, FMEA, Weibull analysis, accelerated life testing, DO-160, or MIL-STD-810.
• Experience building an iron bird or full-vehicle integration rig, developing real-time controls for safety-critical systems, or preparing certification and military airworthiness evidence.
