Full Stack GAIAA Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Telework in the US with proximity to a GDMS facility required; on-site collaboration as needed. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: USD $112,924–$125,275 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy an enterprise environment for accessing AI assistants.
• Build features across frontend and backend boundaries.
• Design, build, and deploy complex, performant software solutions in production.
• Build REST-based backends and maintain a large codebase using established and improved patterns.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers on a cross-functional team.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ship fixes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering processes, concepts, principles, and theories.
• Experience with REST-based infrastructure and backend development.
• Experience with React, Angular, Vue, FastAPI, or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Git, and Bash.
• U.S. citizenship and proximity to a GDMS facility are required.

Nice to have

• Expertise in React frameworks and TypeScript.
• Expertise in FastAPI and Python.
• Experience with React context, controlled components, hooks, streaming, Linux, Azure AKS, and Docker.
• Technical leadership experience and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
