Sr. Data Scientist (Remote, ROU)

What you will do

• Lead research and architecture for new generative AI agents and large language model applications.
• Drive innovation in reasoning, summarization, interactivity, and other LLM capabilities.
• Define model architectures, training approaches, deployment strategies, technical standards, and evaluation frameworks.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor Data Scientists, and promote engineering excellence.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and align technical strategy with business goals and senior leadership.
• Represent technical work through publications, speaking engagements, and thought leadership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of applied machine learning or research experience, including leadership in production-grade model development.
• Deep expertise in LLM training and deployment at scale.
• Strong technical leadership, mentoring, and technical strategy experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Python, deep learning frameworks, and cloud technologies.
• Expert-level understanding of GPU technologies and optimization techniques.
• Strong communication skills and a record of solving complex technical challenges at scale.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Patents or significant intellectual property contributions in AI.
• Research publications in leading AI journals and conferences.
• Experience applying machine learning to cybersecurity.
• Research-to-production experience at scale or contributions to open-source machine learning projects.
