Global Payroll Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Lead accurate and timely payroll delivery across 13 countries and act as the final escalation point for complex payroll matters.
• Manage external payroll providers through SLAs, quality reviews, performance evaluations, contract negotiations, and supplier strategy changes.
• Implement AI and n8n workflow automation to reduce manual payroll work and improve scalability.
• Own payroll compliance, internal controls, audit readiness, and adherence to local tax, social security, and labour regulations.
• Partner with People Delivery on data quality and maintain documented end-to-end processes in Jira.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a multinational payroll team while managing budgets, priorities, and performance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of full-cycle payroll experience, including at least 3 years in a multi-country European environment.
• 3+ years of experience managing remotely collaborating, multi-country payroll teams.
• Experience with external providers, contracts, SLAs, compliance, and audit processes.
• Demonstrated success in payroll process automation, system implementations, or provider transitions.
• Strong analytical skills with Google Workspace and Gemini; experience with n8n or Workday integration is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, HR, or a related field, with payroll certification preferred; fluency in English and German is required.
