AML/CTF Transaction Monitoring Specialist (Fintech)

What you will do

• Review AML monitoring alerts and identify reportable suspicious, unusual, and currency transactions.
• Investigate customer and account activity, identify money-laundering and terrorist-financing patterns, and document findings.
• Recommend whether to file suspicious activity reports and refer confirmed cases to relevant authorities or Financial Intelligence Units.
• Research AML/CTF regulations, sanctions requirements, regulatory requests, subpoenas, and escalations from business and compliance functions.
• Maintain accurate case records, meet BSA/AML reporting deadlines, and support audits and presentations.
• Collaborate with technology teams on production issues, software updates, testing, and improvements to AML monitoring tools.

Requirements

• AML monitoring knowledge and/or experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in the financial industry.
• Excellent investigative and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of AML/CFT frameworks, FATF Recommendations, EU AML regulations, sanctions regimes, PSD2, BSA, or EBA Guidelines is beneficial.
• Fluent English at C1 level is required.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
