Embedded Software Engineer, Firmware

Location: Singapore, Central Singapore; hybrid with an average requirement of 2 days per week from an HPE office

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, and validate software for state-of-the-art networking products.
• Gather and analyze project requirements, design sub-modules, investigate technical issues, and identify and mitigate risks.
• Debug issues, develop fixes, and drive issue resolution with relevant parties.
• Participate in technical discussions, support decision-making, and communicate technical proposals, justifications, issues, and progress updates.
• Deliver assigned work on time and ensure high-quality product releases.
• Collaborate with specialized module developers, hardware and manufacturing teams, technologists, architects, project and management teams, external vendors, and cross-geographical and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Solid understanding of software development principles and experience with software development tools and processes.
• Knowledge of C programming.
• Interest and ability to investigate issues and develop solutions.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, eager, and quick to learn, with a passion for technology.
• Team-player attitude and ability to collaborate with global and cross-functional teams.
