Development Officer I, Strategic Partnership and Revenue Development (TEMP)

Prairie View A&M University, part of the Texas A&M University System, operates KPVU Radio as a public media and digital storytelling organization.

What you will do

• Develop and implement strategies to identify underwriting, sponsorship, grant, philanthropic gift, and corporate partnership opportunities.
• Use the university’s Sesquicentennial celebration to cultivate partnerships supporting special programming, live events, digital storytelling, and community engagement.
• Collaborate with University Advancement, Marketing & Communications, Alumni Relations, Athletics, and other campus partners on fundraising and community engagement.
• Build and manage a corporate underwriting pipeline across broadcasts, livestreams, websites, mobile applications, podcasts, digital content, and emerging multimedia platforms.
• Develop partnerships with local, regional, and national organizations aligned with KPVU’s mission, including Black Public Radio Network and other public media initiatives.
• Support fundraising campaigns, donor cultivation, special events, community outreach, performance tracking, monthly reporting, and revenue recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• No prior experience is required.
• Knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work in an environment of constant demands and frequent interruptions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

• Six-month temporary appointment under general supervision of the Station Manager.

• Salary is commensurate with education and experience within the assigned university salary range.
• Texas A&M University will not pay the $100,000 fee associated with certain new H-1B petitions.
• A Texas moratorium on new H-1B filings may affect the university’s ability to employ candidates requiring employment visa sponsorship.
