Senior Mobile App Engineer (React Native)

Location: Remote within the US Eastern time zone, with optional in-person office hubs in Boston and New York.

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 per year, plus equity, PTO, and other benefits.

What you will do

• Lead development of cross-platform React Native applications for iOS and Android.
• Design and implement UX workflows for clinical trial participants and at-home diagnostic patients.
• Own application UX, performance, reliability, observability, and release quality.
• Integrate native iOS and Android BLE device SDKs and wearable capabilities.
• Collaborate with Devices, Platform, and Product Design teams on user-centric mobile features.
• Shape the roadmap and technical direction of the mobile platform.

Requirements

• 8+ years of mobile development experience, including production React Native applications on both iOS and Android.
• Strong TypeScript skills and familiarity with React Native, Expo, and GitHub.
• Experience with app state management, offline-first data handling, and app store release processes.
• Strong product judgment focused on UX, edge cases, and performance.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working asynchronously.
• Must be based in the US Eastern time zone.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating BLE peripherals, sensors, or health data streams.
• Native Swift or Kotlin development and React Native native modules.
• Experience with medical devices, EEG, wearables, clinical trials, patients, or regulated environments.
• Open source contributions to mobile or React Native projects.
