Bond and Specialty Insurance Intern: Underwriting Professional Development Program (UPDP)

Location: St. Paul, Minnesota, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. now and in the future. Visa sponsorship and support for H-1B, TN, or Forms I-983/STEM OPT are not available.

Salary: $0.00–$22.00 annual base salary range.

What you will do

• Complete challenging, meaningful project work during a 10–12 week underwriting internship.
• Develop knowledge of insurance underwriting, sales, and marketing through core assignments and coaching.
• Use analytical and artificial intelligence tools to evaluate business and institutional risk.
• Assess the quality and accuracy limitations of AI-assisted outputs using critical thinking.
• Participate in executive speaker sessions, networking events, and the Rising Senior Intern Symposium.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed.
• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Bachelor’s studies in business administration, economics, finance, liberal arts, management, marketing, risk management and insurance, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• U.S. work authorization valid now and in the future without employer sponsorship.
