React Native Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Build and own React Native features from client-problem discovery and solution design through implementation, launch, measurement, and iteration.
• Partner with Product and Design to create responsive, trustworthy experiences for discovery, trading, and simplified financial journeys.
• Work with APIs and dynamic or real-time data while making decisions about state management, rendering, performance, architecture, and reliability.
• Raise engineering standards through technical discussions, code reviews, collaboration, and strong product ownership.
• Help build a new mobile application for Asian markets, guiding the team on regional UX, design expectations, connectivity restrictions, vendors, and tooling.

Requirements

• Strong experience shipping production applications with React Native and making sound architectural and implementation decisions.
• Experience building responsive, data-rich applications using APIs and dynamic or real-time data.
• Product-building mindset, end-to-end feature ownership, and ability to use metrics, experimentation, client behavior, and feedback to improve releases.
• Proven experience building and shipping consumer mobile applications for Asian markets, including work with regional UX conventions, technical limitations, firewall, and connectivity restrictions.
• Professional written and verbal English; English is required for close collaboration with Product and Design.
• Experience in fintech, trading, crypto, payments, or another financial technology environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with native mobile development in Swift or Kotlin.
• Experience across both mobile and web, or in a startup or small-to-medium-sized technology company.
• Chinese or another Asian language proficiency.
• Experience using AI development tools such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude.
