Fall 2027 Audit Associate (Accounting)

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; hybrid work environment with regular in-office attendance. Office expectations vary by location and service line.

Salary: $68,400–$84,600 annually in Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley; $65,000–$80,400 annually in Pittston.

What you will do

• Support audit and assurance engagements while learning clients’ businesses, industries, reporting processes, and assurance needs.
• Gather and analyze financial information and perform substantive and control testing.
• Prepare workpapers documenting procedures, evidence, results, and conclusions in line with firm methodologies and professional standards.
• Use approved audit, data analysis, workflow, collaboration, and AI-enabled tools responsibly.
• Collaborate with engagement teams and clients, resolve routine questions, and communicate progress or potential issues.
• Apply coaching and feedback to improve technical knowledge, professional judgment, business acumen, and work quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related business discipline from an accredited institution.
• Eligibility to pursue, or demonstrated progress toward eligibility for, CPA licensure; educational requirements must be met in the state of employment or a reciprocal state.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored visa sponsorship.
• No prior professional experience is required; the role is designed for candidates with 0–1 year of relevant experience.
• Foundational accounting knowledge, analytical and research skills, clear communication, organization, attention to detail, and effective collaboration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook; a resume and unofficial transcripts are required.

Nice to have

• Previous internship, academic, leadership, volunteer, customer service, or other relevant experience.
• Experience with emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools.
