System Analyst (Compass Payment)

Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan; hybrid work with office attendance

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and formalize business, functional, and non-functional requirements for payment processes.
• Develop integration specifications for Compass Payment interactions with internal and external systems.
• Maintain REST API specifications and define JSON request and response structures.
• Model payment statuses, state transitions, successful and failed processing scenarios, idempotency, and transaction reprocessing.
• Use UML, BPMN, and SQL to model processes, analyze data, and validate system behavior.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and QA engineers, investigate integration incidents, and participate in acceptance testing.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a System Analyst.
• Hands-on experience with payment systems and a strong understanding of payment transaction lifecycles, statuses, and state transitions.
• Experience documenting business and system requirements and preparing integration specifications.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, and SQL.
• Knowledge of UML and BPMN, plus an understanding of idempotency and synchronous and asynchronous integrations.
• Direct hands-on experience with Compass Payment and English at Intermediate level or above.
