Backend Developer (Node.js/Nest.js)

Location: Poland, Warsaw; fully remote work

hirify.global is a product company building its own technology ecosystem and in-house platform for the iGaming industry.

What you will do

• Build and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend services for iGaming products.
• Own backend features from implementation and testing through deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Optimize PostgreSQL queries, indexes, transactions, and concurrency for high-load systems.
• Develop REST APIs, modular services, background jobs, message-driven workflows, and event-driven architecture.
• Perform load and performance testing, investigate bottlenecks, and resolve production incidents.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams while communicating technical decisions and risks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• 5+ years of production experience with PostgreSQL, relational databases, and NestJS.
• Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, index design, transaction management, concurrency control, and performance analysis.
• Understanding of dependency injection, modular architecture, Clean Architecture, software design principles, and REST API design.
• Experience with automated testing, load testing, Redis, message queues, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with systems requiring financial accuracy, idempotency, transaction consistency, and auditability.

Nice to have

• Experience in iGaming, online casinos, sports betting, gaming platforms, wallets, payment systems, or transaction processing.
• Experience integrating third-party game providers, payment gateways, or other external services.
• Practical experience with AI-powered developer assistants such as Cursor or Claude.
