What you will do

• Evolve the UK&I transport vision and market narrative in collaboration with transport leadership, product, sales, marketing, and communications teams.
• Manage engagement with national and regional governments, political stakeholders, government departments, industry leaders, and existing or prospective customers.
• Lead supporting and trade organisations and align their activities with business growth and new business generation.
• Develop stakeholder maps, communication plans, and messaging for audiences at all levels.
• Support business development and bid teams by contributing to tenders, executive summaries, market intelligence, and competitive insight.
• Represent the business at events, conferences, and in the media while maintaining knowledge of the UK&I transport market, competitors, and solution portfolio.

Requirements

• Experience serving as a trusted advisor in large, complex business environments, such as business consulting.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, influence stakeholders, identify customer needs, and turn insight into action.
• Experience planning and delivering stakeholder engagement and messaging programmes that change perceptions and opinions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Clear understanding of government transport policy, regional government responsibilities, rail, and public transport integration challenges.
• Working knowledge of emerging technologies such as machine learning and AI and their impact on transport.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a complex matrix organisation and presenting to internal C-suite stakeholders.
• Mentoring and team development experience.
• Experience managing large strategic accounts, preferably in the transport sector.
• Knowledge of budgets, P&L management, costed business cases, and return-on-investment analysis.
