Industrial Cybersecurity Expert (OT)

Location: Hybrid work in Germany, with locations listed in Erlangen, Berlin, and Muelheim an der Ruhr.

What you will do

• Define secure manufacturing principles and support secure manufacturing IT and OT infrastructure.
• Translate IT/OT governance policies and controls into practical measures for factory environments.
• Define cybersecurity requirements for factories and ensure that they are addressed effectively.
• Specify and maintain configuration and hardening guidelines for products, third-party components, and manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, IT, industrial control systems, and digitalization functions across manufacturing, production, and product development.
• Provide cybersecurity guidance and documentation throughout development and engineering processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT Security, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering with a focus on IT Security, or comparable IT/OT experience.
• Many years of experience in industrial cybersecurity or IT security.
• Knowledge of manufacturing infrastructure and IT/OT security technologies, including IIoT, connected factories, OT hardware, and sensors.
• Experience with threat and risk analysis, incident handling, and vulnerability handling.
• Understanding of international or national IT/OT security standards, regulations, and related legal considerations.
• Very good communication skills in German and English, along with stakeholder-management experience and a value- and solution-driven mindset.
