AV Technology Specialist - IRCAD North America

Location: In-person at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. Periodic weekends and evenings are required, and travel may be required.

Pay range: $35.50–$53.25.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain audio-visual systems for livestream broadcasting, video conferencing, and in-room AV setups.
• Provide hands-on and remote technical support, including system setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and real-time issue resolution.
• Support Mac- and PC-based presentations and resolve conferencing issues for customers and executive stakeholders.
• Coordinate AV hardware requirements and system integration with vendors including Stryker, Medtronic, Boston Scientific, Johnson & Johnson, and Proximie.
• Support telepresence, video segmentation, and bi-directional broadcasting for surgical education and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge.
• Approximately 3 years of experience in video conferencing, unified communications, and collaboration.
• Working knowledge of software administration, servers, databases, router LAN/WAN infrastructure, and telephony architecture.
• Knowledge of video conferencing technologies and protocols, including H.320, H.323, H.264, SIP, and TIP.
• Experience with conferencing equipment and platforms from Cisco, Tandberg, Polycom, Lifesize, and Vidyo, plus MCU and control systems.
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot networking and AV issues, and provide exceptional customer service; able to lift up to 50 pounds and work around live animals and human tissue.

Nice to have

• Experience with ISDN infrastructure, H.323 endpoints, gateways, MCUs, gatekeepers, facility coordination, or networking systems.
